"Langton Green has an energy that is tangible, it shows as you walk through the door" – Visiting Head
Langton Green Primary School is already inclusive, creative, innovative and outstanding, but we cannot stand still if we are to serve the best interests of our children. We are looking for a Head Teacher who can keep us moving forward, not just by continuing the excellent teaching and development that is currently in hand, but who also has the vision to consider novel or even radical ideas, grasp new DfE requirements, and set a strategy that keeps our thinking fresh and the school at the cutting edge of Primary education delivery.
Langton Green is a village on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells on the Kent/Sussex border. The school is set in beautiful grounds backing on to open countryside. It is currently one form entry, but has two year groups of 60 children. The Local Authority is in the process of commissioning the building work to expand the school buildings further to enable it become a full two-form entry school, which will allow it to fully meet the needs of the village.
We can offer you:
An inclusive culture, experienced and hard-working staff, and well-behaved, high-attaining children
An innovative, creative curriculum, which encourages independent learning
A fantastic learning environment, both indoors and out, in beautiful secluded surroundings
Distributed leadership with a strong Senior Management Team
A cohesive, supportive and involved Governing Body
Excellent collaboration with other schools in the district
We would like you to be:
A good communicator and listener, who values the opinion of others
Able to articulate your vision for the school and carry the staff, parents and governors with you
Honest, confident, creative, firm, fun and fair
Passionate about teaching children and developing the whole person
Willing to trust in staff so together we can push even further the boundaries of teaching and learning
Confident, and willing to continue our School’s leading role in local collaboration
We would love you to visit our school to see for yourself where we are, to watch the children at work and play, to hear first-hand about our curriculum, and to experience the atmosphere in our classrooms and the passion of our teachers. Please call the school office and we will find a mutually convenient day to welcome you to our school.
