St Andrew's School
Rochester
School Description
St Andrew’s School is a highly successful and well respected co-educational independent primary school set in a conservation area of historic Rochester. Our bright, happy and enthusiastic pupils thrive in our smaller class sizes and benefit from specialist teaching in some subjects.
St. Andrew's achieves consistently good academic results where pupils are prepared for the 11+ examinations and the majority move on to the School of their choice. The School has a very happy atmosphere that can be attributed to the sensitive way in which the staff teach and care for the children. The enthusiasm for the children to be successful creates a stimulating environment that is conducive to learning. The School is proud of its teaching and learning with an emphasis on class teaching with appropriate differentiation. The discipline in the School is based on mutual respect amongst pupils, peers and teachers. The children have clearly defined parameters of behaviour and are taught to show respect to all with whom they come in contact.
The 340 pupil school caters for 3 to 11 year olds and is owned and managed by Education Development Trust, a leading independent provider of education and training services in the UK and overseas.
