Learning Hub Lead

To support the smooth running of the SRP Learning Support Hub

Permanent

Kent Range 5 with opportunities for development 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (including 5 INSET days) Term Time only.

Kent Range 5, FTE £24,040 – £25,002 per annum (Actual salary £20,861.17 per annum)

+ SEN allowance of £1,441.72 per annum

8:30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday

  • The Malling School is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Lead to assist with the smooth functioning of our learning hub.
  • As a Learning Hub Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation of our learning hub. Your primary responsibilities will involve managing and supporting students with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for escalating issues to the Hub Manager as needed.
  • You will have:    
  • Level 2 Maths and English     
  • Good Standard of all round education    
  • Be willing to undertake on-going training as part of your CPD pathway.
  • Ability to use all Microsoft packages to proficient standard.  

Previous experience of line managing individuals and supporting young people with autism/dyslexia

  • Ability to relate to young people and adults, understanding their needs and respond accordingly.     
  • The ability to think strategically and work as part of a team, demonstrating a high level of resilience and have a proactive approach.

Information about the school

A mixed 11-19 co-educational High School of 1000 pupils serving the historic market town of West Malling and surrounding villages. The school is set in pleasant rural surroundings and has its own lake and extensive grounds. It was completely re-built in September 2007 and therefore has outstanding facilities.

West Malling is close to the county town of Maidstone and has excellent rail links to London and Ashford International (for the Continent).
