Advert

We are looking for an imaginative, enthusiastic, and committed teacher of French and/or Spanish to join this outstanding selective school for boys.

We offer the chance to access teaching across all the key stages in a Languages department that is strong and achieves very good results with our talented students.

The ability to teach up to GCSE level in either French or Spanish is essential, whilst a willingness to teach A Level for one of the subjects is desirable. The ability to teach both KS3 French and Spanish is essential as our pupils start in Y7 studying both languages.  The school still offers flexibility in choice for KS4 with around 75% of students choosing to study either French or Spanish to GCSE level.

The vacancy is available for September 2024.

The post is suitable for an ECT, where you could expect a large amount of specialist support in your first two years, but is equally suited to a more experienced colleague looking for a new challenge with high achieving and motivated students.

Benenden Healthcare is provided to staff members who wish to take up the opportunity.

Further information and an application form are available by telephone on: (01303) 252131, or from the school website: www.harveygs.kent.sch.uk, or from Mrs K Bristow at the school address.

Applications will be considered in order of receipt.

Closing date for applications – 12pm Midday on Thursday 9th May 2024.

Interviews will take place - Week Beginning Monday 13th May 2024.

The school is committed to safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed.

This post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance.
