The hours are 37 hours per week, all year round.  The salary is Kent Range 9, £32,485 to £36,693, with a recruitment allowance also available for the very best candidate.

If you would like to join a vibrant, hard-working, progressive and inclusive team, where your hard work and creative ideas will be welcomed and valued, then this may be the role for you!

Working directly with the CEO and his senior team, the successful candidate will be able to independently manage a range of tasks related to the development of The Golden Thread Alliance Trust – a multi academy trust based in North Kent.

You will fully support the CEO in the day to day operational and strategic leadership of the entire organisation. Must have excellent people skills, and match this with the highest standards in written and verbal communication. A knowledge of the academy system is an advantage, but more importantly is finding the right person to undertake what is a highly challenging but very rewarding role.

The role will include checking and writing policies, answering all forms of communication on behalf of the CEO, general organisational duties including the setting of diaries, calendars, meetings and conferences.  Most importantly, the role will include elements of research, policy writing and idea development to ensure that the trust is on track with its ambition to continue to grow and thrive in this current educational climate.

Our staff benefits package includes:

  • Commitment to your ongoing Continued Professional Development
  • Two family days
  • Half-day Christmas Shopping Leave
  • Access to Local Government Pension scheme/Teachers’ Pensions
  • Eyecare vouchers through Specsavers
  • Annual Flu Jab offer for all staff
  • Employee Assistance Programme to support your wellbeing

The Golden Thread Alliance is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020 and therefore is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure. In line with KCSIE guidance, all candidates who are shortlisted will be subject to an online search. This search is not part of the shortlisting process itself and all shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to address any issues of concern resulting from the search.

Two references are also required prior to commencement of employment.

Early applications are encouraged, and The Golden Thread Alliance reserves the right to close the vacancy if a suitable candidate is found.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
