We are looking for an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant from September (4 days a week, Monday to Thursday) to cover PPA. The successful candidate will work effectively with whole classes to cover teachers’ and leaders’ PPA and management/leadership time, covering a range of subjects across the curriculum across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and 2 in addition to other general teaching assistant roles as and when required.

The ideal candidate will :-

Be qualified to Level 2 or 3 Diploma level (or equivalent)
Desirable to be working at or towards professional standards for HLTA
Have relevant experience of covering classes
Be a good team player, flexible and prepared to use their initiative
Be committed to their own professional development
Have good interpersonal skills and organisational skills
Support the ethos and wider life of the school
Have high expectations of all children and an ability to inspire children in their learning
Ability to insist on high standards of behaviour and academic outcomes, enabling all pupils to flourish
Ability to use a variety of strategies to engage and support all children in their learning
Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people
