As our Teacher of Business Studies and Economics, you'll play a key role in shaping the educational journey of our students, particularly at Key Stage 5. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering engaging and innovative lessons in Business Studies and Economics.
  • Providing excellent teaching and support to students, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Taking the lead in shaping the Key Stage 5 curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of our students and aligns with our educational objectives.
  • Mentoring and supporting colleagues within the department, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
  • Implementing strategies to track student progress and enhance learning outcomes.
  • Engaging with parents, carers, and external stakeholders to promote the importance of business and economics education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications.
  • Proven experience teaching Business Studies and Economics, preferably at Key Stage 5 level.
  • Strong leadership skills and a passion for driving academic excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A commitment to the values and ethos of Ebbsfleet Academy.
  • Experience of leading on Careers Guidance is desirable

Information about the school

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2022, our Trust comprises 30 geographically organised academies (14 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating 20,000 students, and employing 3,000 talented staff.
