Join us in becoming a Lead Practitioner - Business Studies at Leigh Academy Minster and lead the charge in enhancing standards and enriching teaching and learning across our academy. As a vital member of our leadership team, you'll play a key role in translating our academy's vision into exceptional classroom practices, fostering a culture of excellence throughout.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategies for teaching and learning, curriculum planning, professional development, and promoting collaboration among colleagues. You'll inspire positive student engagement by setting high expectations, delivering exceptional lessons, and cultivating an environment conducive to learning. As the leader in Business Studies, you'll establish tailored systems and procedures to elevate teaching and learning within the subject. Additionally, you'll deliver outstanding lessons, mentor colleagues, and strategically analyse data to drive continuous improvement.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Business Studies or a related field

  • Qualified Teacher Status, or equivalent

  • Proven experience as a successful classroom practitioner in co-educational comprehensive schools

  • Demonstrated commitment to extra-curricular and enrichment activities

  • In-depth knowledge of the national curriculum in Business Studies

  • A track record of successful strategies for raising achievement and sharing best practices

  • Evidence of enabling students to excel to the highest standards

  • Strong administrative and teamwork skills

  • Leadership experience and capabilities

  • Excellent punctuality and commitment to Equal Opportunities

  • Ambition for further advancement in their career

The basis of this role is full-time, permanent and offering a salary of leadership scale commensurate with experience. Interveiws for this position will take place on Monday 13th May.
